DS Points Plus FAQs
1. Can all customers of Dentsply Sirona participate in the DS Points Plus rewards program?
A. Not all customers are eligible to participate. At this time, the DS Points Plus program is not available to practices in the states of Massachusetts and Vermont, DSOs, Universities, Hospitals, Labs, End-Consumers & Non-Licensed Individuals, Dealers, Government Entities, and other select customer types. 2. How do members earn points?
A. DS Points Plus members earn points on all purchases of products online at dentsplysirona.com.
3. Are there any restrictions on earning DS Points?
A. Purchases of Clinical Education (CE) courses on dentsplysirona.com do not earn DS Points Plus point and CE courses cannot be purchased with points.
Products sold online, but not specifically at dentsplysirona.com, are not included in the DS Points Plus program. Examples of these products include, but are not limited to, SureSmile, Orametrix, Atlantis, Azento, and Simplant.
4. How quickly do earned points get credited to a member’s account?
A. Earned points will post online to member accounts within 24 hours after an eligible purchase.
5. How many DS Points do members earn for each dollar spent on products online at DentsplySirona.com?
A. There are three levels of rewards in the DS Points Plus program based on a member’s total annual spend with Dentsply Sirona in the previous 12 months. Levels are adjusted up daily as member’s total spend increases and only adjusted down at the beginning of the next year.
COBALT: Annual spend <$10,000 = 1 point per dollar
GOLD: Annual spend $10,000 to $20,000 = 3 points per dollar
TITANIUM: Annual spend >$20,000 = 5 points per dollar
For example, if a member qualifies for the Cobalt level, and they spend $1,000 on products at dentsplysirona.com, they earn 1,000 points. Each point is worth $0.01, so 1,000 points rewards a Cobalt member with $10.00 in savings on a future online order (1,000 points x $0.01 = $10.00).
6. Can members move up a rewards level within a calendar year?
A. Yes, a member can move up a level based on a monthly audit, in which we will review total DS spend (online and offline) to determine if the member will move up to the next tier or stay at their current tier. Members will never be moved down during the monthly audit.
7. How much are DS Points worth?
A. There are three levels of rewards based on a member’s total annual spend (online and offline) with Dentsply Sirona in the previous calendar year.
COBALT: Annual spend <$10,000 = 1 point per dollar
GOLD: Annual spend $10,000 to $20,000 = 3 points per dollar
TITANIUM: Annual spend >$20,000 = 5 points per dollar
8. How do members redeem points for savings?
A. DS Points can be redeemed for savings on product online at dentsplysirona.com. It’s very easy: At check out, Select CHANGE PAYMENT METHOD and members will see their rewards point totals where they will be prompted on whether they want to redeem some, or all, of their points for savings on that purchase.
In addition to seeing point totals at check out, members who are logged in can also view their point balance while they’re shopping; the balance will be displayed in a banner at the top of each website page they visit. Members can also view their DS Points Plus program summary in the My Account section.
9. How do members know how many points they have in their account?
A. Members can view their accumulated points available to redeem online at dentsplysirona.com. Members log in and will immediately be able to see their point total in a banner at the top of each website page they visit. They can also view their program summary of earned and redeemed points in the My Account section. At check out, members will be prompted on whether they want to redeem some, or all, of their points for savings on that purchase.
10. Are there any restrictions on redeeming DS Points?
A. DS Points can be redeemed online at dentsplysirona.com for all products sold on the site, which includes most direct Orthodontics, Endodontics, and Implants products. Notable exclusions at this time relate to custom products (e.g. SureSmile, welded bands, custom kits, personalized product, Atlantis abutments), certain brands (MIS and Simplant), and all indirect products.
11. Can members use points for savings on the same order they earned the points?
A. No. Members can only use the points on future purchases at dentsplysirona.com.
12. What is the difference between DS Points Plus and One DS + Points?
A. One DS + Points is a rebate program in which customers must make a qualifying purchase to enter, at which point they must spend $20K in consumables Qualifying consumable purchases count towards respective rebate requirements regardless of the purchasing channel (dealer vs direct, online vs offline). Please contact your Dentsply Sirona representative for more details.
DS Points Plus is a loyalty program that customers must register online at dentsplysirona.com. With DS Points Plus, members earn points on purchases of products they make on the site. These points can be used for savings on future purchases of products on the site.
If a customer is signed up for both programs, they can earn rewards with both programs on the same purchase of eligible products. For example, consumable products purchased online at dentsplysirona.com will count towards the One DS + points consumables threshold for their cash-back rebate – AND – it will earn the customer DS Points to use for future savings on online purchases at dentsplysirona.com.
