The building platform is equipped with highly reflective aluminum to ensure a maximum level of light efficiency and allow only low light absorption. Printed objects are securely attached to the build plate and securely transported with the Primeprint Box.
Primeprint Box
This integrated transport box system ensures a clean and safe application without direct contact to the resin. Primeprint Box offers UV light protection to avoid any additional exposure.
Washing Containers
Primeprint PPU comes with two washing containers to pre-wash and finally wash the printed object in isopropanol. Thanks to an RFID tag, the system automatically checks the fill level and condition of the contents.
Exact Lifetime Tracking
By using RFID tags and intelligent material management, Primeprint can predict any required maintenance.
Intelligent Material Management
For specific indications, Primeprint uses a distinct material. The cartridges are color-coded for easy, contactless handling and intuitive operation. Primeprint also offers complete UV light protection. Thanks to the RFID tag, Primeprint automatically checks the inserted cartridge and fill level.
Active Charcoal Filter
The integrated active coal filter makes an external suction device redundant.
RFID Tagging
Primeprint and Primeprint PPU automatically detect the material, without contact, thanks to RFID technology. The cartridge, material unit, and washing containers are equipped with RFID tags for fast handling and predictive maintenance.
Robot Arm
Inside of the printer and the PPU, a robot arm moves the build plate to the respective process step without any manual work on your part.
DLP Light Engine
Primeprint uses digital light processing (DLP) technology, where resins are polymerized using UV light. The light projector hardens the resin layer by layer to deliver highly accurate printing results.

Primeprint Solution - The software
3D printing with Primeprint Solution is based on restoration data from various possible design options: Design with CEREC Software, inLab CAD Software, or DS Core Create1 – for a fully validated CAD/CAM workflow.
The inLab CAM software offers fast and user-friendly preparation of the print object with just a few clicks. Primeprint’s quality process protocol, involving automated process times, supports a high level of safety based on medical device compliance and automatic case documentation.
CEREC Software and inLab CAD Software
The upstream design steps of the CEREC and inLab CAD Software automatically take into account the parameters required for the subsequent 3D printing with Primeprint. For users of 3rd party CAD software, the design data in STL format can be imported into the CAM Software.
InLab CAM Software for flexible integration and seamless workflows
The inLab CAM Software was specifically developed for use with Dentsply Sirona manufacturing equipment.
With a few automated steps, you prepare the fully constructed application in the CAM software. The software controls all necessary print and postprocessing steps in a fully automated way and monitors the complete process up to the building platform removal from the Primeprint Post Processing Unit.
Fast Forward production
The printing process can be initiated immediately, in a time saving manner and without the need for further manual adjustments. Alternatively, the CAM software guides the user through the particular print object preparation, offering different adjustment options as desired.
Dental intelligence
• The CAM software automatically suggests the Primeprint validated print material for each print object
• The CAM software automatically incorporates the requirements regarding alignment, support, and post-processing for each print object
Example: A surgical guide has two particularly sensitive aspects: The guide sleeve must fit exactly into the hole, and there must be an exact fit in areas with remaining dentition. The CAM software automatically takes these requirements into consideration for 3D prints with Primeprint Solution.
Object positioning
The software automatically sets the print object on the building platform based on the selected orientation strategy. Manual processing is possible, but not needed in most cases. In addition, the print object can be individually positioned on the building platform and freely moved horizontally and vertically as well as rotated 3-dimensionally.
Preparation of object and fabrication structures
Support structures as well as drainage canals and vents are automatically placed by the software but can also be added, removed, and repositioned manually.
Automatic placement of support structures
Automatic placement of drainage canals and vents
Adjustment of functional areas
Customized adjustments of functional areas during the preparation of STL design data are especially important in order to create an optimal 3D print. For example:
• Targeted addition or removal of drainage canals and vents.
• Marking areas that may not be used for support structures.
• Hollowing solid models
Analysis tools
Wall strength compliance
The software indicates
compliance or noncompliance with manufacturer specified wall strength – a special advantage of the validation process that was performed for each Primeprint material. Additional corrections can be made.
Indication of possible air pockets
The software indicates where air may potentially get trapped during the wash process later on or where puddling of resin may occur, which might not be cleaned up. In this case, drainage canals can be positioned virtually directly in the CAM software without the need to go back to the design phase.
Support quality visualization
A color-coded system interactively visualizes the support quality.
Material thickness
Depending on the application and its desired surface quality, different thicknesses can be defined with the appropriate detail level, thereby optimizing print times.
Process quality protocol
A process quality protocol documents the manufacturing process for each medical device produced with Primeprint Solution. In addition to the simplified distributor declaration of MDR conformity, it can be used as proof of compliance with the process specifications validated by the material manufacturer.

The Preheating function gives you the opportunity to fill the material unit and preheat the resin to the required temperature for printing. This reduces the process time of a print job.
In case you already know which material you want to use for your next print job, but you are not ready to start the print job yet, preheating is really helpful.
As the building platform is dipped in the resin during the preheating process, we do not recommend using preheating for a resin that is inserted in Primeprint if you want to change the resin before performing the next print job.
Regarding the volume of the print job and the time till you want to start the print job you can decide how much resin you want to fill into the material unit and how long you want to keep the temperature at the start of the preheating process.
